Every wednesdays, at least for a little while, we would rent a car and get a full day off. We would cruise around the city and use this tiny time frame to find new places, new streets, wander through the unknown sides of Los Angeles. They remain numerous. Once we went to the Getty Villa and had to leave in a rush, the museum security was quietly but firmly asking everybody to leave the museum perimeter. On our way back, in the car, Mathias told me that it must have been a snake invasion. That, was for him the most likely explanation. A snake invasion. Turns out they were just having a power outage which means having neither security alarm nor either. And it wouldn’t be safe having no alarms on with all those snakes around.
