readymade project

Initiated by Marcel Duchamp, the ready-made consists to choose a manufactured object, remove it from its original context and designate it as artwork.
L'heliotrope’s "readymade project" takes its origins in the very act of subjective choice.
This collaborative project aims to create a collection of "found" photographs, with no artistic vocation originally claimed. So anyone offering an image will not be the author.

The photographs may come from different medias, and can take different forms:
family photos, postcards, packagings, police reports, medical tests, advertisements, books, medical journals, pamphlets, found photos, classifieds ...

Our intention is not to steal images and not to own them. Rather, group them together to re-stage and thus have a different look at these photographs crossed daily.

We are aware that there are author behind these photographs.
If any of these pictures belong to you, we will of course withdraw them at your request.
